February 16th-Just a great pic...

When Josey's here, she always grabs my camera and takes random pictures of her and the kids. I never know what I am going to get when I download my pictures. This picture totally cracks me up. Jake's face is priceless.

February 15th-SNOW DAY!

Valentine's day was glorious. 55 degrees, beautiful...sunny. So imagine my surprise when I am awakened by a text from my friend that said, "Do you know if the kids have a snow day today?" My first thought is, What the ___ is she talking about? I jumped up out of bed, went into the kitchen and about fell over. There was 4 inches of snow, and still falling. It's like Mother Nature decided to play a cruel joke on us . So, I texted her back and told her I wasn't sure. The local channels weren't working, thanks to the weather, so I couldn't check there. I turned on the radio, and a bunch of radio stations I listen to weren't broadcasting because of the heavy snow, so I did what everyone else did-I turned to Facebook! They ended up having a 2 hour delay, but I kept Jake home anyway, because we had no power and I didn't feel like driving on the roads. SO, the kids had a fun snow day =)

Quick! Let me bury you before Mom comes!!!

Yummy!!! Snow!!

Why are you looking at me?? What do you want? Huh?? HUH???

Say Cheese! =)

Snow Angel...

Building a snowman.

Snow beauty =)

February 14th-Happy Valentine's Day...Liv has her boobs on...

Liv apparently decided to go thru my bra drawer while I was in the shower. Usually, I turn on a My Little Pony episode, or Word World, etc, for her to watch, but she had other plans. I was putting my make up on, and she came around the corner, wearing my bra and said...

"Look Mommy! I got my big BOOOOOOBS on!!" On the bright side, she DID say big, right?? If she commented on how little my boobs were, weirdly enough, I don't think this picture would be as funny.

February 9th-The Pony, Pet Shop, Insect, and Unicorn Parade

SO, I have to start off by saying, God Bless Liv for working with me at home, and doing such a fantastic job at entertaining herself when I'm on conference calls, etc. All I have to do is tell her I'm getting on the phone, and she's great at being quiet (most of the time. I mean, come on...She's 4-And a girl-AND my child. Talking comes naturally hee hee). I love working at home with her because I feel like I get to see stuff I missed out on with Jake. She's so imaginative. I love hearing her role play out her unicorns, ponies, polly pockets, etc. I heard her talking about a parade and how everyone was going to be there, and it was a great time, etc. When I turned around, this is what I saw:

Just so everyone is clear, baby Jaguar (from Go Diego, Go) is the parade leader. Liv told me he was gathering everyone up and telling them what to do. She's going to make a great wife some day! ;-)

Of course, not to be left out, Liv had to be in one picture.

January 31st-Way To Go, Jake!

Jake got his second semester grades back. They're pretty good! His penmanship is not that great, which is why his spelling went down. He's spelling the words right, but no one can read them, so he gets them wrong. We've been working on that this semester, and his penmanship's already improved, so we'll see what the next grading period brings. Love you, Bird! Great job!

January 28th-Brrr, Mama, I'm COLD!

The kids are obsessed with our heaters. Honestly, I love sitting by them, too. I hate being cold. I'd rather be too warm than too cold. When this house was built, I swear they used crappy insulation because it can get pretty cold. Also, they put the heat sensors right next to the outside doors (front door and the back slider). Who does that?? But I digress...

I was making breakfast for Jake, and I turned around and saw this:

We still have that Wiggles couch from when Jake was little, and she still uses her crocheted crib blanket from Great Grandma. I don't know what she'll do when she gets too long for it. She uses both Great Grandma made for her as blankets right now (she says there are spiders under her comforter???? so she refuses to sleep under it *sigh* but that's a post for another day...)

January 27th-Beauty Shop

Brett, Jake, and I were sitting down playing Phase 10. Liv was obsessed with doing our hair. She put a ton of her "hair pretties" in my hair, then moved on to Brett's hair. she gave him a comb forward lol. He's a good sport, though =)

January 4th (I'm backtracking alittle)

I have to say sadly, that yes, she got it from me. The spazziness, that is. I went to New Jersey for work the week of January 3rd (I was supposed to go right after Christmas but got diverted thanks to the weather). Liv was staying with Mom, and Jake was staying with Brett and Josey.

So...Liv was sitting at the table at Mom's, eating dinner. The chairs she has sit high up. Liv was talking to Papa, and eating pudding. She leaned back and there she blew. Fell right off the chair and somehow almost put a hole thru her lip. Really, she probably could've used a stitch or two, but it was hard to tell if it went thru her lip until it was too late. Poor kid still has a slight lump in her cheek.

This is the texted picture I received from my Mom after it happened =(

This is what it looked like 2 days later. She did quite a number on it, huh??

January 23rd-Umm...Guess We Aren't Going to Drive Around Diamond Lake...

I had to go to Medford for the weekend to work. Brett and I decided that maybe we'd take a drive around Diamond Lake. We turned down the road, and this is what we saw:

Uhh...yeah. Not gonna happen.

And this is the road coming in and going out of Crater Lake. It's the straightest road I've ever seen. It amazes me.

Monday, January 17th-Yet Another Person in the House Loses a Body Part.

No one freak out...She lost an expendable part. Well, really, a pair of expendables. Good ol' T & A, better known as adenoids and tonsils. The only person that's left to have something removed is Liv. She is in charge of the breaking appendages department.

Beforehand, smiling. She has no idea the torture yet to come. I tried to be as frank as possible so that she knew what to expect.

Uh oh...They're coming at her with the needle to put the IV in. Poor kiddo had a bruise for almost 2 weeks.

After, coming out. NOT very happy. I'm happy to say that after a rough week, she was on the mend quickly.
